Classroom ExpectationsTransparency of student expectations in the classroom are introduced in the beginning of the year verbally and visually with a customized student behavior contract. The contract is designed by the students and then signed by parent, student, and teacher. The purpose of this is to create a safe classroom climate through a routine that advocates for the learner behavior and is understood by the parent.

Online CollaborationThe general platform for online learning and communication is Google Classroom. The classroom is accessible to parents, guardians, and students. The classroom will contain lesson plans, assignments, grading, student work, live stream, and interaction. The parents and guardians are invited to look at the class curriculum while also being able to interact and comment on student work.

In the RealThe importance of creating multiple access points of communication is essential in our ever-changing world. Parents, guardians, and students are able to reach out and call the school office or my personal line. They can reach me face-to-face in the classroom during my plan period, 15 minutes after school, or through scheduling a meeting. The class syllabus and curriculum will be sent home as a hard copy and via email. School email communication is a preferred form of communication.
